Ron Wilke

I am currently the School Safety, Security and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for Indian Prairie School District #204. My primary roles are to provide training and emergency preparedness to our 34 schools, 26,000 students and 3,000 staff members. Acting as a resource for school administrative teams and assisting with district crisis communications are also top priorities for my position. Prior to joining District #204, I served 27 years in law enforcement with the DuPage County Sheriff’s Office and the Lisle Police Department. While working for the Lisle Police Department, I was assigned as the supervisor for the SRO/Crime Prevention Units, the Emergency Management Volunteer Coordinator, the Public Information Officer, and the Training Coordinator. While serving in various supervisory roles with Lisle PD, from sergeant to Chief of Police, I was also a member of the DuPage County Incident Management Assistance Team (IMAT), an Assistant Team Commander for the ILEAS Mobile Field Force, and a Team Leader for the Lisle PD Special Response Team.
